Recycled Easter Dress for Little Princess Maddie

This year for Easter, Maddie requested a dress fit for a princess...that she wanted me to make. She did not want a dress from a store, it had to be made on my sewing machine! I picked out some materials I had in my closet and went to work.

It was a little challenging since I had no pattern to work with, but I got it done after all.

I just had to wing it...

She likes it...

...I just hope I can get her to wear some shoes on Sunday!

A Visit to the Museum of Westward Expansion

On the day we took the kids to the picnic at the Arch, we made a quick stop inside the Museum of Westward Expansion. We were too late to take the trip to the top of the Arch, se we went to the museum to check it out. We were pretty short on time...by the time we got through the security checkpoint with all of the kids, the stroller and all of the baby baggage...we only had about 15 minutes to get through the museum.

It was really cool, and I want to go back so we can take enough time to go through it and look at everything. While we were there a little birdie told me that they are closing soon for renovations...I hope we can make it back before they close!

Here are some pictures:
